Animated Isometric Ichtian
A downloadable asset pack
Animated Isometric Ichtian:
- Animated in 16 directions with 22.5 degree step - very smooth look
- 28 animations: Attacks 11; Idle; Braggage; Walk R/L/F/B; Hits 3; Deaths 2; Run Back/Forward; Crouch sit + Transition; Jump; LevelUp;
- Separate shadow layer to adjust shadow and sun positions to your map (shadow sprite can be distorted/transformated according to sun direction) and to create effects like ice/water mirroring, fly away, lightning day/twilight/night effects. Or you can use your own static ellipse shadow sprite for lesser disk space cost.
- x180, x256, x320 pixels frame-size highly optimized RGBA4444 game-ready spritesheets
- Separate uncompressed frames for advanced cases, edit, downscale and build your own spritesheets
- 2 modes: Ichtian assembled with weapon / Separate weapon sprites
- Minimal possible itch price: just on coffee
Important! Shadows for both variants are in Assembled version zip's.
How to use:
1. Assembled version is better to use only one weapon. Very high disk cost if use all 4
2. Second version consists of all Ichtian animations but without weapon. First you place shadow (of Ichtian+Axe 1,2 or Sword 1,2) layer, then Ichtian, and on top of this - weapon of same animation. All three layers must be centered in same point - offsets are already made within the frame. To change, just load a new shadow and weapon of same type. No need to worry about Z-order overlap - weapons have gaps in place of intersections with Ichtian:
3. You can apply effects and particle systems on Ichtian or weapon sprites apart. Handy for recolor/lightning/fire/smoke/poison/glow/ghost effects and etc.
Important! Very good practice is to dynamically load/preload/unload and cache single animations to prevent high RAM usage. Optimization is care of developers )
Handy for RPG, Tower Defence, RTS, Turn-by-turn games and other.
